U.S. Diplomat Auto Insurance Program

The Sunrise Group is proud to offer the US Diplomat Automobile Insurance Program designed specifically for foreign diplomats while on assignment in the United States . We provide you with insurance that meets the limits required by the Department of State. You may purchase coverage for Liability only or Liability with Fire, Theft, Vandalism and Collision for private passenger, private passenger truck (under 1 ton).

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

These Requirements apply to all licensed drivers in the household

• Must have a minimum of two (2) years driving experience in either their home country or one (1) year driving experience in the U.S.
• Must be between 21 and 75 years of age.
• Must have one of the following non-immigrant visa:
  • Diplomat Visa A1, A2, A3
  • International organization officer or employee G1, G2, G3, G4, G5
• Cannot have had an accident or moving violation in the past three (3) years, regardless of reason

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

The following documents are required prior to binding coverage:

• Completed & signed Diplomat Auto Application, which lists the name and address of the embassy. (This will be used to fulfill legal requirement to list the name and address of the embassy on the Declarations Page.)
• Copy of Passport/Visa showing eligible non-immigrant visa classification for each driver
• Copy of driver’s license for each driver showing a minimum of two (2) years driving experience in their home country or one (1) year driving experience in the U.S.
• Copy of State Motor Vehicle Registration Card, Title, or Bill of Sale, copy of Purchase Order or Intent to Purchase document

CLAIM FREE DISCOUNT

You are eligible for a claim free discount if you can provide a letter from your prior insurance carrier indicating your name, policy number and policy period stating you have not had an accident for the prior three year period. This document must be attached to the application. This program is not available in: New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina and Massachusetts.
