Visiting Military Auto Insurance
Program
The Sunrise Group is proud to offer The Visiting Military
Automobile Insurance Program designed specifically for
members of Foreign Military while on assignment
in the United States. Coverage may be purchased for
liability only or liability with fire, theft, vandalism
and collision on private passenger automobiles, motorcycles,
private passenger trucks (under 1 ton) and motor homes.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
You are eligible for this insurance program
if:
- You are not a U.S. or Canadian citizen
- You are not a permanent resident of the U.S. or
Canada
- The vehicle to be insured is not a sports car or
high performance vehicle
- You are not under 18 years of age or over 75 years
of age
- Have a minimum of either two (2) years driving experience
in their home country or (1) year in the U.S.
- Cannot have an accident or moving violation in the
past three (3) years, regardless of reason
- This program is not available in:
New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Massachusetts
and Louisiana
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
The following documents are required prior to
binding coverage:
- Completed & signed Visiting
Military Auto Application (see file below)
- Copy of Passport/Visa showing non-immigrant visa
classification for each driver
- Copy of Military I.D.
- Copy of driver’s license
from home country showing a minimum of two (2) years
driving experience for each driver
- Copy of State Motor Vehicle Registration
Card, Title or Bill of Sale, copy of Purchase Order
or Intent to Purchase document
- To qualify for a claim-free
discount, a letterfrom your prior carrier stating all
operators have been claim free for a minimum of three
(3) years prior to the policy effective date
